Certifi assigns different permissions to different user types. Please use this article to understand the different types of users in your workspace.

The figure below shows a tree diagram of the types of Certifi users:

Admin User Types

 

Supervisor

This is the "Super-Admin" role for your parent company. 
  • Supervisors have full access to all timesheets within their company. 
  • Can Approve or Reject timesheets on behalf of any other Admin user.
  • Has full access to the User Management feature.
  • Can edit company information and settings.
  • Can invite and remove users.
  • Can upload, request and remove certificates from Worker users' profiles.

 

Project Manager 

Each Worker user is assigned to a Project Manager.
  • Project Managers can only see timesheets raised by Worker users assigned to them.
  • Are the first port of call for timesheet approval.
  • Can Accept or Reject timesheets to transfer them to Finance users for payment.

 

Line Manager 

Line Managers have broadly the same access rights and actions as Project Managers.
  • Line Managers have visibility of all timesheets within a company.
  • Can Approve or Reject timesheets at the first stage after initial submission to transfer them to Finance users for payment.

 

Finance 

Finance users have full access to all invoice payment actions within the company. 
  • Once timesheets have been Approved by a Project Manager or Line Manager, they are passed on to the Finance users within the company. 
  • These users have the power to mark a timesheet as Approved for Payment.
  • They can then mark timesheets as Paid once the transaction has taken place.

 

Observers 

Observers have read-only access.
  • Observers can see all timesheets with the company. 
  • Many of our clients find this user type useful for training and administration.

 

Worker User Types

 

Subcontractors

  • Can create and submit timesheets to their organisations.
  • Can upload and renew their certificates.
  • Their timesheets are currency-based.

 

Employees

  • Can create and submit timesheets to their organisations.
  • Can upload and renew their certificates.
  • Their timesheets are time-based, using a day rate.
